"Agriturismo" might be a somewhat limiting term, because Borgo Rurale San Salvador is not just a hospitality structure nor just a riding center, but rather a large-scale project to restore a historic estate in the Venetian countryside.

This place embodies everything that constitutes the value of the surrounding territory: it represents its soul and stands where history, agriculture, the environment, and community have, over time, built a strong, shared identity.

Nestled on a bend of the ancient Livenza River, Borgo Rurale San Salvador is located just a short distance from historic centers such as the seaside town of Caorle, the Venetian Torre di Mosto, San Giorgio, and San Stino di Livenza. In this area, activities like river tourism, sport fishing, cycling tourism, and cultural tourism thrive, thanks to the proximity of incredible art cities like Venice, Treviso, and Padua.

Historic Identity

Borgo Rurale San Salvador in Boccafossa di Torre di Mosto is located in the heart of Eastern Venice and along the "Gira Livenza" cycle and river tourism route. It (re)emerges on what is one of the oldest agricultural centers of this land, originally governed, by order of the Serenissima Republic, first by the Augustinian monks of San Salvador in Venice, and later, after the major land reclamation, by the Mazzotto family. Bepi Orlandi arrived at San Salvador in 1948 as the farm manager, a role he would hold for "almost a lifetime."

Barchessa Viva!

In 2023, the historic 17th-century Barchessa of Borgo Rurale San Salvador collapsed due to adverse weather conditions. A piece of the history of Eastern Veneto crumbled, despite the efforts already undertaken for its restoration.
Together with Slow Food Veneto Orientale, we are working on a dream: to bring the Barchessa back to life and transform it into an educational and recreational center open to all, dedicated to the themes of good food, sustainability, and local agri-food culture.
The project is ambitious, and the challenges are many, but we are convinced that together we can succeed. A fundraising campaign will be launched soon, and everyone will have the opportunity to participate.

Five newly built, independent accommodations, tastefully furnished for both style and functionality: this is where we want to welcome you.
From the windows of the apartments, your gaze drifts between the horse enclosures and the soft colors of the sunsets. The peaceful rhythm of the countryside accompanies every moment, with the sound of hooves and the sky lighting up in golden hues.
Services, privacy, and silence: our accommodations are perfect for couples, individuals, but especially for families with children, who will find plenty of space to play freely and peacefully.
